Former Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has criticized Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca's team selections.
Idman.Biz reports that Rooney specifically called the seven starting lineup changes in the 2-2 draw with Qarabag in the Champions League a "negative signal for the players."
Rooney stated that players want to play consistently with the same squad and strengthen their connections on the field.
"When changes are constantly made, players become dissatisfied. If results are not coming, questions must be asked. The team's leaders, especially captain Reece James and experienced players, should discuss the issue with Maresca. This is not player dictation, but the responsibility of internal leadership. If I were in the leadership group, I would speak openly, I would voice my dissatisfaction," Rooney said.
