Former Manchester United and England footballer Wayne Rooney shared his thoughts on Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. Sport24.az reports that the former striker believes head coach Arne Slot should dare to keep the star player on the bench in order to maintain balance in the team.
"Salah doesn't help them in defense. I understand he's a club legend and I have great respect for what he's done. But if a player who constantly plays in the starting lineup isn't running, then what's the point of the players on the bench giving their all? If I were Arne Slot, I would make a serious decision that would affect the whole team," Rooney said on *The Wayne Rooney Show* YouTube channel.
It should be noted that Mohamed Salah has played 16 games in all tournaments for Liverpool this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists. Liverpool, having an unsuccessful season, is currently in 11th place in the Premier League with 18 points.
