Recently, amputee football has become one of the important trends in the world.
"Report" reports that Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of ANAMA, said this at the opening ceremony of the Amputee Football Nations League, which will be held in Baku.
He stated that Azerbaijan is the most mine-contaminated country:
"Recently, amputee football has become one of the important trends in the world. It is an important step towards the attachment of mine victims to life. The Azerbaijani national team has recently achieved great success and is among the 10 strongest teams in the world. Unfortunately, 409 people have been injured by mines since the Patriotic War. Azerbaijan is the country most affected by mine contamination in the world. I wish success to all the teams participating in the competition".
