Haji Azimov, the president of the "VT Ganja" club, which plays in the Regional League, disagrees with the decision of the AFFA Disciplinary Committee.
He stated that he did not insult the referees and the national association in the match against "Khojaly".
"I did not insult AFFA and the referees. I just told the referee that this is what happens when AFFA sends illiterate referees like you to the game. Calling someone illiterate is not considered an insult. I didn't insult anyone, I didn't swear," he said in his statement to "Report".
H.Azimov added that they mistakenly took a different color uniform when they went to the match in question:
"We found out about it when we arrived in Baku. We couldn't go back either. We go to the field with 15-16 year old football players. We found 10 forms without numbers. The referee did not agree. Then we eliminated that too. Then they said that the socks and shorts were yellow, the opponent was the same color. They said they would have difficulty in offside. Do they consider what I said an insult? We will appeal the decision. We have been "victims" of refereeing in 4 matches. I have also complained about this. I even said that there is "fakery" in the Regional League. No one is watching. But they consider one word of ours an insult."
It should be noted that the AFFA Disciplinary Committee punished Haji Azimov with a 10-match ban, citing that he insulted AFFA and the referees in the match against "Khojaly".
