Negotiations between Real Madrid and forward Vinicius Junior regarding a contract extension have stalled.
According to İdman.Biz, citing ESPN, talks could resume after the 2026 World Cup.
The winger's current contract expires in the summer of 2027.
According to the source, in May 2025, the club and the player's representatives were close to agreeing that the Brazilian footballer would earn 20 million euros per year. He could receive an additional 10 million euros in bonuses. However, Vinicius's entourage believed that Real Madrid's latest offer differed from what was initially discussed and, moreover, did not include bonuses.
Real Madrid, in turn, believes that the forward's team has not fulfilled certain verbal agreements. Since then, negotiations have stalled.
Under his current contract, Vinicius earns 17 million euros per year.
