Talks to extend Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior's contract have broken down. According to ESPN, Sport24.az reports that negotiations between the parties are expected to resume after the 2026 World Cup.
According to reports, the parties were close to an agreement in May 2025 for an annual salary of 20 million euros and a bonus of 10 million euros. However, the player's representatives expressed dissatisfaction, arguing that the club's latest offer differed from the initial terms and that the bonuses had been canceled. The club management accused the other party of not adhering to verbal agreements.
It should be noted that the Brazilian winger's current contract is valid until the summer of 2027.
