Pierre Kompany, the 78-year-old father of "Bayern" head coach Vincent Kompany, arrived at a meeting of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives with a scarf of the Munich club.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, with this beautiful gesture he demonstrated his pride in his son, who defeated Real Madrid and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Pierre Kompany was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He was persecuted in his homeland for his struggle against dictator Mobutu Sese Seko, so at the age of 28 he was able to move to Belgium as a political refugee.
At first, Vincent's father worked as a taxi driver while studying mechanical engineering to support his wife and three children. The "Bavaria" coach's parents divorced when he was 14 years old, and his mother died six years later.

In 2014, Pierre Kompany was elected a member of the Brussels Parliament, and in 2018 he became the mayor of Ganshoren, the first person from the Congo to hold such a position. Two years ago, Vincent's father was elected to the Chamber of Representatives in the federal elections as a member of the "Les Engages" party.
