Vincent Aboubakar, the forward of Neftchi and the Cameroon national team, explained how he came to the decision to agree with the club and the factors that influenced this process.
Idman.Biz reports that the football player stated this in an interview with Turkish commentator Ertem Şener.
Talking about his transfer to Neftchi, Aboubakar said that in the decision-making process, in addition to the club management, he also exchanged views with Turkish national team defender Çağlar Söyüncü:
"Before coming to Neftchi, I spoke with both the club's CEO Cenk Sümer and Çağlar Söyüncü. They gave me very positive opinions about the team and said it was a big club. Moreover, I knew Cenk Sümer from his time at Beşiktaş, which made my decision even easier."
The star striker also shared his thoughts on the level of the Azerbaijan Premier League:
"If we talk about the Azerbaijan Premier League, it sometimes seems easy from the outside, but it is not so in reality - the league is quite difficult. Azerbaijan is a very beautiful country and people here treat football with great respect. Based on what I have seen since joining the club, everything is organized at a high level and the corporate structure has developed even further."
