Answering questions from Turkish journalist Ertem Şener, the experienced striker spoke primarily about his new team:
"Our team is new. I will do my best to help Neftchi. Just as I fought in previous clubs, here too I will do my best for the success of the team."
He also explained the reason for his arrival at Neftchi: "Before coming to this club, I met with both the Chief Executive Director Cenk Sümer and Çağlar, who had previously worked in this country. They told me good things about the team. They said it was a big club. I knew Cenk Sümer from the time I played for Beşiktaş. This also made my decision easier."
Aboubakar also spoke about the Azerbaijan championship: "The Premier League may seem easy from the outside. But it's not really like that. It's a difficult championship. Azerbaijan is a very beautiful country. The people here are very respectful about football. The organization is very good."
