"Villarreal" has started negotiations for a new contract with Marcelino Garcia Toral. Sport24.az reports that this was announced by insider Mateo Moretto.
According to him, the meetings between the Villarreal management and head coach Marcelino were "sincere and constructive." The main issue is the duration of the contract: the 60-year-old specialist offers 3-4 years, while the club offers 2 years.
It should be noted that Villarreal has played 26 matches in La Liga this season under the leadership of Marcelino. The team is in 4th place in the standings with 51 points, with 16 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses.
