Interview of Vidadi Rzayev, former coach of "Kapaz", to Sport24.az.
- A council called "Football Legends of Ganja" has been established in "Kapaz". However, we didn't see you among the participants of the event. Weren't you invited to the meeting?
- There is no need to be there. Thank you, they invited me. I didn't feel obliged to go. We were represented by Tofig Mammadov, the chairman of the "Kapaz" football veterans. I can't say anything about the creation of the council. The situation is still deplorable. In my opinion, the main purpose of creating the council is to prevent critical, alternative opinions.
- It seems that you do not have a positive attitude towards the creation of the council...
- Yes. There was no need. There is the "Kapaz Football Veterans" association, of which Tofig muallim is also the chairman. What is our wish? We want the team to be good. When we see that the team is going to the abyss, we make healthy criticisms and talk about the shortcomings. I think the council was created purely as an alternative body to us in order to gain support for themselves. They named it "Football Legends of Ganja". All those they call "stars" are outside of football. Maybe they will be offended. But those who are not legends work in the club, while those who are are unemployed.
- "Kapaz" lost to "Imishli" after the victory in the last round. In your opinion, what prevents them from continuing the victory?
- Azer Bagirov doesn't answer my question. Last season he kept the team in the Premier League, didn't agree with the club's management, and left. Why did he come back as head coach to the team that Adil Shukurov assembled? It's the same management, it hasn't changed, has it? They won't give Adil muallim more than they gave him in salary, will they?
- Could it be the impact of Erkin Ibrahimov leaving the club?
- Last season he kept the team in the league. It's not the same situation now. They complain about the level of the legionnaires. Azer muallim knew which team he was coming to. They say we need to be patient. What patience should we have? At that time, they brought a head coach to the national team, and after 3-5 years they would say "sorry brother-in-law, it didn't work out" and send him away. This is similar to that.
