Velicko Kaplanovic, the head coach of "Sumgayit," which lost 1:2 away to "Turan Tovuz" in the 17th round of the Misli Premier League, revealed the main reasons for his team's defeat.
Idman.Biz reports that the expert did not consider the game shown in the first half of the match to be satisfactory. According to him, the gaps allowed, especially in standard situations, ensured "Turan Tovuz"'s advantage, and there was a real danger of the score increasing further.
Kaplanovic emphasized that the team performed better in the second half, but it was impossible to change the course of the game. He stated that they regretted the goals conceded from simple episodes and noted that despite the weak game in the first half, Aleksander Ramalingom's shot that hit the post could have been one of the turning points of the match.
Referring to the problems in Sumgayit's defense line, Kaplanovic said that a central defender had been transferred, but the shortcomings still remained.
The expert also said that Aleksa Jankovic's lack of training in recent days, Sabuhi Abdullazade's health condition, and Rustam's absence made it difficult to fight against a physically strong team like Turan Tovuz.
