Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk made a statement before the return match of the UEFA Champions League 1/4 final against PSG. Sport24.az reports that the Dutch footballer emphasized that the team must perform at its maximum level and rely on the strong support of the stands in order to make a comeback:
"The situation may have changed a little. But we are in a familiar situation for ourselves. "Anfield Road", a magnificent Champions League night, a strong opponent and as a club we have a chance to do something special together. We know how big the task is ahead of us. We live for such nights. If you can't enjoy this, I don't think you have chosen the right sport. Both our game and the support of the fans should be at the highest level. I remember the games with Manchester City, Roma, Barcelona, Real. Everyone in the dressing room believes that we can do it again."
It should be reminded that Liverpool lost the first match in Paris with a score of 0:2. The goals were scored by Desire Due and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The return match will start today at 23:00 Baku time.
