Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has urged veteran footballers to be more responsible when criticizing current players, especially young talents. Sport24.az reports that the Netherlands international said this in an interview with Sky Sport.
According to the 34-year-old footballer, he is able to accept criticism himself, but he is concerned that the influence of social media and "clickbait" comments could negatively affect the psychology of young players.
It should be noted that Van Dijk previously exchanged views on the topic of criticism with former footballer Wayne Rooney.
