Athletic Bilbao's head coach, Ernesto Valverde, has come to the fore with an interesting statement. Sport24.az reports that the specialist shared his thoughts after the goalless draw with Slavia in the 5th round of the Champions League.
He jokingly clarified the yellow card he received. He stated that the weather was extremely cold and that he protested to the referees in order to warm up.
Evaluating the game, Valverde emphasized that one point was important for the team, and that his team showed commendable performance despite the tense game. The head coach noted that their main goal is to qualify for the play-off stage.
It should be noted that currently Athletic Bilbao is in 28th place in the tournament table with 4 points, while Slavia with 3 points is in 30th place.
