"Qarabag" should not be afraid of "Athletic", they should play their own football.
This was stated to "Report" by former Azerbaijani national football player Vali Gasimov, speaking about the match that "Qarabag" will play against "Athletic" (Bilbao, Spain) in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League.
He stated that the Agdam representative is waiting for a difficult away match:
"I played against "Athletic" at the "San Mames" stadium when I played in the Spanish championship. Although many years have passed, the atmosphere of that stadium still oppresses people. Wanting and being able to do it are different things. We would very much like "Qarabag" to return from Spain with a point. But it will be difficult to do. Our team has passed very difficult tests in the first two rounds. I hope that in the end the Azerbaijani football community will be happy."
The experienced specialist, who once played for the Spanish clubs "Betis", "Albasete" and "Esixa", emphasized that teams at the level of "Athletic" play very good football at home:
"It is difficult to fight against such teams, especially away. They will try to hinder "Qarabag". I think that "Qarabag" should not be afraid and should show their football skills. In this case, you can hope for a good result."
