"Valencia" has announced the death of Fernando Martin, coach of the "Valencia B" women's team, and his three young sons in a boat accident in Indonesia.
According to Idman.Biz, citing Spanish media, Martin, 44, his wife, and four children were among the 11 tourists on the boat that sank off the coast of Indonesia on Friday. The boat capsized due to strong waves reaching 1.5 meters. Seven people were rescued, including Martin's wife and daughters.
The statement reads: "Valencia" Football Club deeply regrets the death of Fernando Martin, coach of the "Valencia B" women's team, and his three children in the tragic boat accident in Indonesia. This has been confirmed by local authorities. On behalf of the club, we would like to express our support and condolences to Martin's family, friends, and colleagues at this difficult time for everyone."
