"It could be expected that the game would be at this level." These words were said by Vagif Sadigov, the chairman of the AFFA Coaches Committee, in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 66-year-old expert shared his thoughts on the "Neftchi" - "Shamakhi" match (1:1) held in the first round of the Misli Premier League:
"If we follow the games of the previous season, we will see that the tension between the two teams remains until the end of the match. It was interesting to see what level the teams would be at after the abolition of the limit. There is no need to talk much because it is the first match. But I can say that positive changes were felt in both teams. "Neftchi" and "Shamakhi" will add color to the championship by being among the contenders."
Sadigov answered the question "What shortcomings did you see in Neftchi?" like this: "Let's not talk about it in the first match. Someone may think that all issues are resolved with new transfers. Everything takes time. This will also take time. But the quality of the players in "Neftchi" was felt. It is important to direct these qualities to a single system and team play. This will also take time. We will see a different "Neftchi" from game to game. I believe that intrigue and competition will continue in the Premier League until the end of the season."
