Vagif Sadigov reacts to the appointment of a foreign coach in "Imishli"

"The main task of clubs should be to train local football players and coaches". These words were said by Vagif Sadigov in his statement to Sport24.az.

The chairman of the Coaches Committee commented on the appointment of Portuguese Jorge Casquilha as the head coach of "Imishli", which won a ticket to the elite:

"What are the goals of "Imishli" in the Premier League this season?  There will be no goal to play in European cups from the first year. It will be difficult for "Imishli" to be in the middle of the standings. This could be done with Farid muellim, a young specialist who brought the team to the elite. This is not only about "Imishli". Average teams want to compete with clubs with big budgets. Those with low budgets should keep their place in the Premier League and give football players and coaches to Azerbaijani football. I say this every time, but the visible picture is completely different. But if they have made a choice, may their path be clear. What do we want? Every team should be able to compete in the championship. Azerbaijani football will benefit from this".

It should be noted that Jorge Casquilha has coached the following clubs so far: "Santa Maria", "Valdevez", "Merelinense", "Moreyrense", "Leixoes", "Uniao Leiria", "Academico Viseu", "Uniao Madeira", "Gil Vicente", "Cova Piedade" and "Trofense".
