Vagif Javadov, the head coach of the "Sumgayit" club's reserve team, has completed a five-day internship program in the Netherlands.
According to Idman.biz, this experience was carried out within the framework of PRO category coaching courses.
Our employee interviewed Vagif Javadov and inquired whether there were any problems between him and the club regarding this issue.
- How did the club react to this trip? Were there any problems?
- Of course not. The club was not against it; on the contrary, they created all conditions and supported me to visit the "Twente" football academy, which I wanted to go to in advance.
- Why "Twente" specifically?
- At least because this club is not foreign to me – I played for "Twente" when I was a football player. Besides, I think that the Dutch school of children's and youth football is one of the best in the world, maybe even the first.
- As a football expert, what surprised you the most there?
- The most surprising thing was that two clubs – "Twente" and "Heracles" – have merged their football academies! This shows that these clubs primarily think about the future of Dutch football as a whole, and do not focus only on their own clubs. This gave me an unforgettable impression! I just can't imagine that something similar will ever happen in our country.
- Are there any other trips waiting for you within the framework of PRO category courses?
– Now I am waiting for a longer-term - at least a week-long internship program. This time it will be in one of the top European clubs. The internship can take place until the end of this year, or at the beginning of next year - everything depends on the calendar of that club.
- Is the name of that club known?
- Frankly, I don't know yet (laughs). But frankly, I would like this club to be from Italy, Spain or Germany. Let's see how it goes. Here, everything depends on personal connections - just as I agreed with "Twente", now I have to talk myself.
- What about "Sumgayit"? Will the club allow you this time too?
- Of course, they will. The club management understands this issue because they also want their coach to gain experience. So far, I only see support from them.
