A new appointment has been made in the coaching staff of the Azerbaijan national team consisting of football players under 20 years old. Sport24.az reports with reference to the official website of AFFA that Vagif Javadov has been appointed as the assistant coach of U-20.
It should be noted that Vagif Javadov, who played for clubs such as "Qarabağ", "Bakı", "Keşlə" (current "Shamakhi"), "Khazar Lankaran", "Gabala", "Sumgayit", AZAL in our country during his football career, also lived a legionnaire life in "Twente" in the Netherlands, "Volga" in Russia, "Gaziantep BB" and "Boluspor" in Turkey. He played 58 games for the Azerbaijani national team from 2006 to 2014 and scored 9 goals. Vagif Javadov, who started coaching in 2020, worked in "Sumgayit" and for a short time in the Kazakh club "Turan". The specialist, who started coaching as an assistant in Sumgayit's U-19 team, later worked as the head coach of Sumgayit-2. He was the head coach of the main team of "Sumgayit" in the second half of the 2024/2025 season.
