Azerbaijani football player Vadim Abdullayev commented on his departure from "Araz-Nakhchivan".
The midfielder gave an interview to "Report" about this.
He said he wanted to stay in the Nakhchivan team:
"The club made such a decision. I thought that maybe it's better for me to leave. Frankly, I was expecting them to offer me a new contract. But in the end, it turned out like this. The main thing is that the team made history this year. I was one of the people who put in the most effort. I was in the team in its worst times. Of course, it wasn't pleasant, but it's football, a part of life."
The 30-year-old football player also said that he has not yet received offers from other clubs:
"I was invited to the national team for the first time this year. There are things that are beyond our control. There were no disagreements between us and the coaches. We also said goodbye to the head coach Elmar Baxshiyev. Of course, I'm waiting for new offers. But so far, I haven't received invitations from other clubs."
It should be noted that V. Abdullayev's contract with "Araz-Nakhchivan" has not been renewed.
