Automobiles have been gifted to the football players of the Uzbekistan national team, which qualified for the final stage of the World Cup for the first time in its history.
"Report" reports that the country's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions in this regard.
The President's press service announced that members of the national team will be presented with Chinese-made BYD cars.
In addition, Uzbek businessman Khurshid Turayev promised to give the team's goalkeeper a three-room apartment in the capital Tashkent. The businessman announced this on his personal Instagram account.
It should be noted that the Uzbekistan national team drew (0:0) with the UAE in the Asian qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup the previous day. This result allowed them to qualify for the final stage of the World Cup for the first time in history. The team is in second place in Group A with 18 points.
The World Championship will be held in Canada, Mexico and the USA from June 11 to July 19.
