The Dutch club "Utrecht" has appealed to UEFA, demanding that the team be awarded a victory in the match against "Lyon".
Idman.Biz reports that the first-round match of the UEFA Europa League between these teams ended with a 1:0 victory for "Lyon".
The reason for "Utrecht's" complaint is the participation of midfielder Rachid Ghezzal in the French club.
Although the player registered for the competition on September 5, UEFA canceled his registration. Moreover, Ghezzal directly influenced the outcome of the game with "Utrecht" by providing a productive assist.
The governing body of European football has already suspended the player from the competition and launched an investigation.
