Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Usman Dembele has won the Ballon d'Or, becoming the first player representing a French team to win the title in the last 24 years, and the first black player to win the Ballon d'Or in the last 20 years.
Idman.biz reports that the last time this award was won was in 2005 by Ronaldinho, a member of Barcelona and the Brazilian national team. The last player to represent his country and club at the same time was Michael Owen, a Liverpool and England national team striker in 2001.
It should be noted that the Ballon d'Or award has been presented since 1956. The first black footballer to win this award was Eusebio, the legend of the Portuguese national team and Benfica, in 1965.
