PSG and France national team winger Usman Dembele has become the sixth player from his country to win the top individual award in world football.
Idman.biz reports that he surpassed Barcelona and Spain national team player Lamine Yamal in the voting.
Before Dembele, five French footballers won the Golden Ball: Raymond Kopa (1958), Michel Platini (1983, 1984, 1985), Jean-Pierre Papin (1991), Zinedine Zidane (1998) and Karim Benzema (2022).
With this indicator, France is the country with the most Golden Balls. Italy and Germany are in second and third place with five awards each.
