The Romanian Football Federation has deducted 94 points from the "Universitatea" (Craiova) club, which plays in the III division, before the new season.
"Report" reports that the "Voetbal International" magazine has reported on this.
The relevant decision was made by the Disciplinary Committee of the organization. The penalty was given due to a number of unpaid debts to players and coaches, as well as failure to fulfill financial obligations to "Dinamo" (Bucharest) for the match held in the national cup in 2023.
The deduction of 94 points was caused by sanctions accumulated over the years.
The Federation has given the club until September 3 to pay off its debts. If the requirements are not met, new sanctions will be applied to the team and it will be excluded from all tournaments. The final decision on this case is scheduled to be made on September 25.
