Liverpool's midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has stated that he is in no rush to sign a new contract with the club. Following teammate Ryan Gravenberch's contract extension until 2032, attention has turned to the Argentinian player.
İdman.Biz, citing British media, reports that uncertainty continues regarding Mac Allister's long-term future with the Merseyside team.
Speaking at a press conference before the Champions League match against Galatasaray, the 27-year-old footballer confirmed that there are no official negotiations currently:
"First of all, I want to congratulate Ryan. He deserves it because he was a very important player for us in the season we won the Premier League. As for the contract issue, I am completely calm, and we are not holding any negotiations at the moment."
It is noted that Mac Allister's father, Carlos Mac Allister, also stated some time ago that there were no contacts with the club. With two years remaining on the player's current contract, transfer rumors are intensifying. It is claimed that Spanish giant Real Madrid wants to add the world champion to its squad to strengthen its midfield line during the summer transfer window. Although Manchester United is also reportedly interested in him, a direct move to a rival club is considered unlikely.
