Spanish national team goalkeeper Unai Simon has criticized holding the Finalissima match between Spain and Argentina in Qatar.
Idman.Biz reports that the match between Spain and Argentina is scheduled to be held on March 27, 2026 at the "Lusail" stadium in Qatar.
"I don't know the reason, but I think it's related to finance. The previous Finalissima was held at Wembley, which was fantastic, but now they are moving it to Qatar... I think it would make more sense to hold it in Europe or America. I'm sure the fans come first. To be honest, I don't understand it," AS quotes Simon as saying.
Finalissima is a match between the current European and South American champions. FIFA wants the match to feel like a spectacular final.
