The "Golden Sands Cup 2025" international football tournament was held in Albena, Bulgaria.
Idman.biz reports that clubs from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine competed in the tournament.
Our country was represented at the tournament by the team of football players born in 2014 from the "Ulduz" Football Academy. They won the group stage against "Kids" (Moldova) 3:0, "CFR Timisoara" (Romania) 9:0, and "Champion" (Ukraine) 12:1.
The team, coached by Chingiz Badalov, which qualified for the semi-finals as the group winner, faced Moldova's "Iuppiter" at this stage. Our football players also added this duel to their assets – 6:3.
"Ulduz"'s opponent in the final held today was the host team – "Cherno More". In a tense match, our representatives defeated the Bulgarians 1:0 and won the title of the tournament.
It should be noted that 12 teams competed in the competition.
