Another footballer has died in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Sport24.az reports that Ukrainian media has reported this.
Sergey Petrov, who wore the uniforms of "Volyn", "Zvezda Kirovohrad", "Lviv", "Rukh", "Metalist 1925" and "Agribusiness" during his career, and lived a legionary life in Uzbekistan in "Mashal" and "Kokand", has passed away.
The football player, who was once invited to the Ukrainian youth national team, decided to volunteer in June 2025 and went to one of the military units stationed in the Pokrovsk direction. He did not return from the last battle.
