The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) has decided to hold the national team's play-off matches for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Spain.
Idman.Biz reports that the Ukrainian national team will play Sweden in the semi-final in Valencia, Spain, at Levante's home stadium.
The stadium has a capacity of 26,354 people. If they defeat Sweden, the Ukrainians will host the winner of the Poland-Albania match at the same venue in a decisive match for a ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
The Ukrainian national team previously held its home matches in Poland. The Ukrainians have chosen a different country so as not to officially turn their home games into away games, as the teams could face each other in the final of the play-off paths.
The games will be held on March 26 and 31, 2026. The Ukrainian national team took second place in Group D of the European qualifying round with 10 points.
