UEFA has announced the financial results for the 2024/2025 season. According to the report published on the organization's official website, the total revenue from all tournaments exceeded 5 billion euros, Sport24.az reports.
This figure is 737 million euros more than the previous season. The main part of the increase falls on men's club tournaments.
Total revenue from men's club competitions reached 4.4 billion euros, which is 690 million euros more than the 2023/2024 season. This has also led to an increase in the reallocation of funds to clubs and the development of competitions. As a result, the volume of payments to clubs reached 3.4 billion euros - 400 million euros more than last season.
The organization also emphasized the increase in support payments. It was reported that 10 percent of total competition revenue was allocated to support payments. 308 million euros of this fund will be directed to clubs that do not participate in European tournaments, which is 76 percent more than last year. In addition, additional funding has been allocated for clubs that stopped competing in the qualifying stages. Another 25 million euros will be spent on supporting the UEFA Youth League and women's club competitions.
