Therefore, the Israeli men's and women's national teams will be disqualified from the Nations League this season, and Maccabi Tel Aviv will be disqualified from the Europa League. However, the governing body of European football will not try to exclude Israel from the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The tournament is held under the auspices of FIFA, and unilaterally excluding Israel from this tournament would be a "politically difficult" decision.
