The mini-football tournament for the 2024/2025 season of the "Football Lesson in Schools" project, organized by AFFA with the support of UEFA and the Ministry of Science and Education, has concluded.
"Report" reports, citing the official website of the national association, that a total of 36 school teams from Baku and Sumgayit participated in the competition.
The team of school No. 20, which defeated the team of school No. 292 in the fight for third place, won the bronze award. In the final match, the team of school No. 229 defeated the team of school No. 276 and became the winner of the competition.
The winner of the tournament was awarded a cup by AFFA, and the first 3 places were awarded with appropriate medals and special gifts. Prizes were also presented in various nominations. Yusif Mammadzade, a member of school No. 276, was awarded as the best goalkeeper, and Sara Garibova, a player of school No. 229, was awarded in the best football player nominations.
The awards and the cup were presented to the participants by the Vice-President of AFFA, member of the Executive Committee Konul Mehdiyeva and the head of the Mass Football Department Farrukh Ismayilov.
