The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has rejected the request of the Greek club PAOK to postpone their UEFA Europa League round of 8 match against French representative "Lyon".
Idman.Biz reports that "Hellas Football" reported this on the X social media platform. The game will be held on Thursday, January 29, at the "Groupama" stadium in Lyon, France.
On the evening of Wednesday, January 27, a minibus carrying PAOK fans crashed. The vehicle carrying 10 people collided with an oncoming truck on the highway to France in Romania. Seven people died.
Earlier, "Lyon" announced that a memorial event would be held at the stadium on the day of the match. The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructed the Greek Embassy in Bucharest and its consular section to provide all possible assistance to Greek citizens and their families.
