UEFA has decided not to change the number of participant applications for the next Champions League season. Sport24.az reports that English clubs requested permission to register 28 players.
However, UEFA rejected the request. This issue may be discussed again before the 2027/28 season, but for now the limit remains at 25 people.
It is reported that Spanish clubs supported the preservation of the existing rule. La Liga clubs believe that English teams can gain a significant advantage by using their financial advantage.
