UEFA has penalized the "Qarabag" club for a slogan. Sport24.az reports that the decision was made by the UEFA Disciplinary Committee regarding slogans during the 7th round of the Champions League League stage match against Germany's "Eintracht" (3:2) in Baku.
According to the decision, the Aghdam representative was fined 17,500 euros for "transmitting a message inappropriate for a sports event" and "damaging the reputation of football in general and UEFA in particular." The decision did not specify what exactly the matter was about.
According to QOL.az, the reason for the penalty was the fans chanting the slogan "UEFA - mafia."
In addition, according to the organization, the club also violated ticket control rules.
