UEFA has fined the French football club "Lille" for a banner displayed by fans.
İdman.Biz reports that the incident occurred before the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 match against Aston Villa of England.
"Lille" fans unveiled a giant banner depicting Joan of Arc before the match.
The banner featured slogans such as "The French never die", "Proud. Strong. Fearless" and "Joan raises her sword and Lille continues to fight".
However, UEFA fined "Lille" club 82,750 euros for this banner, as well as other violations, including throwing foreign objects onto the field.
