UEFA has confirmed changes to the qualifying rounds for clubs in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League for the 2025/26 season regarding which qualifying round they will start from.
Idman.biz reports that this is due to the continued exclusion of Russian football teams from international competitions.
Champions League
According to the updated allocation, two clubs will start in the second qualifying round instead of the first:
Pafos (Cyprus)
Ferencváros (Hungary)
Europa League
A similar advantage has been granted to one club, which will also start in the second qualifying round:
Midtjylland (Denmark)
Conference League
The most changes have affected this competition. Six clubs, which were supposed to start from the first round according to the rating, will directly join the second round:
Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Vaduz (Liechtenstein)
Akureyri (Iceland)
Dungannon Swifts (Northern Ireland)
Dudelange (Luxembourg)
Banga Gargždai (Lithuania)
