Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye could be disqualified for 4 years for receiving a yellow card.
"Report" reports with reference to "Corriere dello Sport" that the 25-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper is suspected of participating in betting games.
He was penalized with a yellow card in the 64th minute of the match against Lazio in 2024 for delaying putting the ball into play. A large number of bets were registered in bookmakers regarding this issue, and participants paid more than 120,000 euros.
The case materials have been handed over to the Italian prosecutor's office. It is not excluded that if the goalkeeper's participation in betting games is proven, he will face a disqualification of up to 4 years.
