The World Championship among football players under 20 years old has started in Chile.
Idman.biz reports that the teams competing in groups A and B faced each other on the first day of the game.
In Group A, Japan and Egypt faced off. With goals scored by Rion Ishihara (29) and Ishii Hisatsugu (49), the Asians won their first victory in the championship - 2:0.
In Group B, South Korea and the defending champion Ukraine tested their strength. Oleksandr Pishchur opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Gennadiy Zinchuk scored the second goal for the Ukrainians. In the 80th minute, Myung Yun Kim made up for one of the goals conceded - 1:2. The game ended with this score.
The championship is attended by teams from 24 countries. The tournament will last from September 27 to October 19.
