The US MLS football league has banned two soccer players for life.
Idman.Biz reports that the investigation revealed that Derrick Jones and Yaw Yeboah used intermediaries to bet on games involving their own teams.
In addition, the players informed their acquaintances in advance that they would receive yellow cards in specific matches. They went onto the field and deliberately broke the rules, resulting in a warning from the referee.
It is reported that these events took place during 2024–2025.
