Cyprus has arrested two Georgian citizens suspected of killing Stavros Dimostenus, the president of the "Karmiotissa" club. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by the Greek television channel "ERT-news".
According to the source, two 28-year-old cousins were arrested in Thessaloniki. One of them was the driver of the car involved in the crime, and the other was behind the wheel of the car that drove the killer away from the scene. Genetic material and fingerprints were found in this car.
The documents have already been submitted to the court and the prosecutor's office. It is assumed that only one of them opened fire, but the Cypriot police consider both of them guilty of the murder. Both detainees are expected to appear before the prosecutor today.
It should be noted that Demostenus was shot on the Limassol highway on October 17. He has held the post of president of "Karmiotissa" since 2023.
