Turkish National Team Suffered Such a Shameful Defeat at Home After 41 Years

On September 7, the second round match of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament in the UEFA zone between the national teams of Turkey and Spain took place in Konya. The match ended with a 6:0 victory for the visitors. Sport24.az reports with reference to "Squawka" that the Turkish national team lost by a difference of 6 goals at home for the first time in 41 years.

 

In 1984, England defeated the Turks 8:0, and Hungary defeated them 6:0.

 

Previously, the Turkish national team lost 0:6 at home to Czechoslovakia in 1965.
