After "Galatasaray" formalized their championship, the club's fans caused riots in Berlin. Sport24.az reports, citing Berlin police, that 33 police officers were injured in the events.
On Sunday, the Istanbul giant secured the championship by crushing "Kayserispor" (3:0) with two rounds remaining until the end of the season. It is noted that after the match, about 2,500 football fans gathered on Kurfürstendamm boulevard.
Although the police tried to keep the situation under control, "Galatasaray" fans threw pyrotechnics, stones and bottles at the police. 33 police officers were injured, two of whom are being treated in the hospitalr, and four were forced to leave the service.
During the riots, the police arrested 34 people. After charges were brought, all detainees were released.
