"Turan Tovuz" is strengthening its squad with a new foreign player.
Idman.biz, citing Futbolxeber.az, reports that the Tovuz club will soon sign a contract with David Tavares.
The midfielder, whose full name is David Jose Gomes Oliveira Tavares, is a graduate of "Benfica".
The 26-year-old football player played for "Benfica" B team in 2018. Although he was involved in the main team of the Lisbon representative 1 year later, he could not establish himself in the main squad. He spent the 2020-2021 season on loan at "Moreirense". Tavaraş, who later moved to "Famalicão", played on loan at "Torreense" in the 2023-2024 season. He spent his last season as a legionnaire in Romania. Tavareş, who appeared in 27 matches for "Gloria Buzau", scored 1 goal.
