This was stated by former Turkish national team football player Tugay Kerimoğlu in his statement to AZERTAC.
Speaking about the match in which the Turkish national team defeated Kosovo 1:0 in the European zone play-off final of the World Championship, the veteran midfielder said that he was proud of the team. According to the 55-year-old expert, the players have reaped the rewards of their efforts.
He also assessed the chances of the "star-crescent" team in the World Championship:
"I think that the current national team can succeed in the World Cup".
The Turkish national team will compete with the USA, Australia and Paraguay in Group D in the final stage of the 2026 World Cup.
