US President Donald Trump met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Sport24.az reports that the parties discussed the 2026 World Cup to be hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
During the conversation, Trump admitted that he was unaware that the Russian national team was not participating in international games.
Infantino informed Trump about the issue.
Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the country's national team and clubs have been removed from the international arena.
