FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Donald Trump have announced the launch of a broad partnership aimed at raising $75 million for projects aimed at rebuilding football infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that the initiative envisages the use of football as a tool for the restoration of the region. The program includes not only financial support for the construction of sports facilities, but also the dispatch of world football stars to the conflict zone to help the local population.
This information was announced during the first meeting of the "Council of Peace", a new diplomatic body created by the Trump administration to resolve global conflicts. As part of the plan, football legends from different countries of the world will visit Gaza on diplomatic missions, trying to inspire young people and draw attention to the humanitarian needs of the region.
It is expected that these visits will contribute not only to the restoration of football culture, but also to the improvement of the living conditions of local residents.
